  • Acclaimed Flop: Although well-reviewed, Sega commented that the game really under-performed in their sales report that year, along with House Of The Dead Over Kill (Which, while not a smash hit, made a modest profit and became a hit with it's various re-releases on PS3 and Steam) . With this game bombing hard and House of the Dead doing only okay, convinced Sega to stop producing M-rated titles exclusively for the Wii, although it eventually got a semi-sequel in 2012 as Anarchy Reigns.
  • Bad Export for You: The PAL version of this game is inexplicably 50hz only and blurry on top of that.
  • Colbert Bump: The song "Ain't That Funny" got popular with the League of Legends fanbase, due to a video for a strategy for that game featured this song, proving MadWorld's music quality even to people who don't play this game. Just look at the comments on any Youtube video of this song.
  • Creator's Favorite: On Twitter, John DiMaggio has mentioned this was one of the most fun times he had recording for a role, especially since both he and Greg Proops were allowed to improvise.
  • Late Export for You: Japan didn't get the game until 2010, nearly a year after it's western release. Part of this is because the game was made specifically for the Western Market; while another part is because the games violence was so strong that it got the game a CERO Z rating (a Japanese "second-tier" M-rating reserved for explicit human to human violence), and Sega refusing to release a Z rated game; so Spike Chunsoft released it instead in a heavily censored form.
