• Creator Backlash: Dan Aykroyd does not like this film, according to a 2013 interview asking him about a murder case where footage from the film found in a landfill was confused with a snuff film. Aykroyd suggested that it should have stayed in the landfill.
• The Other Marty: J.T. Walsh was originally cast as Grimmer but was let go early in the production and replaced by Paul Koslo. Walsh had co-starred in the John Belushi biopic Wired, whose infamous portrayal of Belushi infuriated his close friend Aykroyd, and some reports say that Aykroyd ordered Walsh's firing (though others suggest the filmmakers acted on their own after realizing that Aykroyd wouldn't be happy to work with a Wired cast member).
