Trivia / Less is Morgue

Go To

  • Acting for Two: The show frequently reuses voice actors for multiple characters, but Shaz and Evelyn (and Satan and Azfar, which they acknowledge, in the Season 1 finale) are, so far, the only two characters who share a voice actor and speak directly to each other. Fred and Czernovitch appear in episode 15 together, but don't directly converse.
  • Actor-Shared Background: Shaz, like the actor playing them, is a nonbinary Australian art-school graduate with family in the United States.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Riley is an agender character voiced by a female actress, conversely, Evelyn is a female character voiced by an agender actor. Brains Vincent's voice actor is female, and Todd, who as far as we know is male, is also voiced by a non-binary actor.
  • Directed by Cast Member: Meg Molloy Tuten has written a fair few of the episodes, in addition to voicing Evelyn.
  • Fake Brit: Scott Thomas and Jeff Clement give Satan and Death English accents, despite being American and Canadian respectively.
  • Fake American: Brother Puddonius sounds like a southern tent preacher and is voiced by the British Charlie Porritt. Evelyn is voiced by an Australian (who also voices Shaz, doing their natural accent). Henry Galley, who is British, voices Florida Man. Brains Vincent, who has a valleygirl-esque American accent, is also voiced by a Brit.
  • Man of a Thousand Voices: You'd probably never guess that Blackbeard, Murray, Glasya-Labolas and Redwood are voiced by the same actor.
  • Playing Against Type: Peter Lewis, who usually plays villainous characters on The Nosleep Podcast, as the tragic and sympathetic Tarrare in episode 9.
  • Production Posse: The majority of the cast and crew met series co-creator Henry Galley through his work on Congeria and The Nosleep Podcast, such as Alexis Bristowe, who acted on both podcasts. Writer Gus Zagarella had also previously written for Congeria. Producers Scott Thomas (who also voiced Glenn on Congeria) and Uri Sacharow previously worked together on The Alexandria Archives. The few members of the team who had never collaborated professionally are those who met in real life.
  • Series Hiatus: Underwent one in 2022 due to personal issues with many of the cast and crew.
