  • American tenor Charles Castronovo met Russian soprano Ekaterina Siurina on the set of this opera at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 2004, and they married a year later.
  • Polish soprano Aleksandra Kurzak first met French tenor Roberto Alagna in between performances of this opera at the Royal Opera House in 2012. The two started a relationship a couple years later before they married in 2015.
