- Screwed by the Network: CITV didn't heavily promote the series on its original broadcast, and wasn't repeated until 2005, which gave it a new resurgence in popularity and making it popular enough to warrant a DVD release of all the episodes.
- Screwed by the Lawyers: The rights to the series have been very confusing due to HIT Entertainment's poor treatment of the series. One source claims that Disney owns the rights to the series, while Jamie Anderson (Gerry Anderson's son) claims that DreamWorks Classics owns the rights to the series (after DreamWorks Animation purchased Classic Media in 2012), while another claims that ITV Studios Global Entertainment owns the rights to the series. Another instance of this is with Little Dot Studios (A YouTube network owned by All3Media who have a deal with ITV) copyright claiming episodes of the series on YouTube.
