- Exiled from Continuity: No X-Men or Fantastic Four characters show up in the game, due to copyright restrictions with Fox owning the film rights to the characters. Spider-Man was a similar case, but he was eventually released as free DLC later on.
- The Other Darrin: Red Skull, Arnim Zola, Bucky Barnes, Pepper Potts, Ulysses Klaue, and several other characters are voiced by different actors (more specifically, their 2010's cartoon voice actors such as Liam O'Brien as Red Skull and Matt Lanter as Klaue) in order to circumvent the limitations of archive audio.
- Role Reprise: Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Hayley Atwell, and Ashley Johnson reprise their roles as Agent Coulson, Maria Hill, Agent Carter, and Beth the Waitressnote respectively. And in the game's DLC levels, Michael Peña, Chloe Bennet, and Ming-Na Wen reprise their roles as Luis from Ant-Man, and Agent Daisy Johnson/Quake and Agent Melinda May from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., respectively.
