  • Acting for Two:
    • Robert Tinkler voices Vernon, Cliff, and one of Bob Wire's Frags.
    • James Kee voices Gus, Captain Darling, and the other of the two Frags.
  • Blooper: There are several scenes of visibly unfinished animation in the episode "Run Russell, Run", with major characters not having been colored in. However, a version with finished animation also exists and has been used in certain airings of the episode.
  • The Cast Showoff: Cal Dodd is an accomplished singer (especially in Jazz) with several records of his own, and he gets to show off his talent a few times with Bob Wire, particularly in the episode "Stolen Voices", where he's revealed to be a very talented singer than you’d think.
  • Children Voicing Children: Mark Rendall as the voice of Russell.
  • Completely Different Title: The French dub is retitled to "Le roi, c'est moi" ("The king is me").
  • Dub Name Change: The French dub changes a couple of the main characters' names.
    • Russell to Raphaël
    • Vernon to Victor
    • Loopy to Joupy
    • Populah to Paméla
    • Cliff to Louis
    • Bob Wire to Barbelétranslation
    • The Frags to Les Crapoufsnote
    • Auntie First to Tatie Floretranslation
  • Fake Brit: Canadian-born actor James Kee puts on a British accent for Captain Darling.
  • Fake Scot: Again, James Kee as the Scottish Terrier, Gus, who, naturally, has a Scottish accent.
  • No Export for You: While the series had a healthy shelf life on Canadian and European TV networks, it wasn't fortunate enough to air in America, which is likely a major factor to its obscurity.
  • Throw It In!: According to James Kee, the voice actor for Gus, Captain Darling and Frag #2, many of the voices of the one-off and minor characters were cast on the fly. Rob Tinkler, Adam Reid, and Kee himself would ad-lib and joke amongst themselves, and whoever was the funniest would end up being cast.
  • Unspecified Role Credit: While every actor that voiced a character, major or minor, is credited, they're not matched to the character they voiced. What's more, the cast list only updated every season. Most of these roles would remain unknown until 2019, when a fan reached out to the casting director, Joanne Boreham, via email, and was able to get a list matching up each actor to their role.
  • Voices in One Room: According to James Kee, most of the main cast recorded ensemble-style, allowing them to play off one another easily.
