• Dueling Works: Was released in the same year as Dragon from Russia, another Hong Kong adaptation of Crying Freeman (coincidentally both movies are made in Hong Kong, but set overseas, respectively in London and Moscow). Although Dragon From Russia wins in terms of box office, it had a bigger budget, more A-list actors in its cast, and Killer's Romance is more likely to be remembered due to its cult status.
