Trivia / Katey Harvey

Go To

  • Blooper: She was billed as 'Kaitlyn Harvey' on the first show of the short-lived Full Throttle Wrestling promotion.
  • Dye Hard: She added blonde into her hair in 2014. Before she was in wrestling she dyed her hair red. The red hair returned in 2019.
  • Old Shame:
    • A 'Hairspray on a Pole' match she had for Celtic Championship Wrestling in 2013. People still ask her about it and she says "they need to just let it die".
    • Advertisement:
    • She denounced CCW altogether in 2019 - citing inappropriate behavior towards female wrestlers, financial abuse and unsafe working conditions.
    • She did not enjoy her time in either - when the promoter told her to make her outfits Hotter and Sexier. She refused, as she was not comfortable in her physique at the time (having suffered several knee injuries that left her immobile). He also asked her to take a pay cut, which also led to her getting replaced with another girl who had similar features.
    • She was ashamed of the disastrous second show of Full Throttle Wrestling, where an intergender match against B-Cool had her being given no offence, and was essentially ten minutes of a woman being beaten up and teased with sex jokes.
  • Playing Against Type:
    • is the only promotion she has never played a heel for. She was booked entirely as a face there.

    • As of 2016 she's a heel in most of the major promotions - PWU, OTT, CCW - so it's rare to see her booked as a face these days.
  • Promoted Fanboy: She used to attend Progress wrestling shows as a fan, before getting to wrestle on them.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot:
    • When the FFPW women's division was introduced, Katey and Lucy Lasso were the first two ready to debut. Katey was made the heel because she had more upper body strength and was therefore better suited to controlling the match.
    • She broke her shoulder in 2018 and had to drop the OTT Women's Championship. As a result when she returned, she was a Face for the first time in the promotion's history.
  • Real Song Theme Tune: "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister.
  • Reality Subtext: Her status as The Mentor to Valkyrie comes from her essentially training her from the beginning of her career.

  • She Also Did: She worked as a stunt woman on Vikings.
