Trivia / Kamen Rider Zero-One: Edge of Dawn

• What Could Have Been:
  • The author originally hoped to have not just Kurogasa Kururugi and Cody Aldrich, the Original Characters of well-known Kamen Rider crossover fanfics such as striberx and Fenikkusumaru, but also characters like Haru Yamamoto (Ashbel Longhart and Enrique Alderette (ShadowBladeKnight, the protagonists of popular Self Insert Fics such as Kamen Rider Faiz: Song of Paradise and Remnants of Desire respectively. ShadowBladeKnight turned Stranger down, but Haru was originally planned to appear in the fanfic proper before Ashbel pulled him out due to the author believing he would not be a good fit for the story.
  • Tying with the above, Stranger originally planned to have Haru and Enrique be mentioned in the story as being part of the same club as Masaomi, Cody and Kurogasa, but were absent for the ill-fated field trip due to coming down with the flu. Stranger and striberx felt that this was being a bit disrespectful to the authors and instead chose to keep the upperclassmen unnamed.
• Word of God: There are certain details in both the Kamen Rider Chronicle [Kamen Rider Fanfic and Rec Thread Phase 2] and the Supplementary Materials that reveal certain scenes or plot events that readers can expect down the line. In particular:
  • The Legend Rider Progrisekeys, more specifically RiderTiming Zi-O and KamenRiding Decade will be obtained by Masao after battling both Sougo and Tsukasa in their Shining Assault Hopper, Zi-O II and Violent Emotion forms respectively.
  • At the end of Part I, Masao's Zero-One Driver is destroyed and receives a replacement in the form of the ForceRiser near the start of Part II, using it to become Kamen Rider 001 to defend the people of Abyss from the Death Knight.
