- Author Appeal: In this film, Johnny English tools around France in a classic Aston Martin because this is something Rowan Atkinson enjoys. In fact, Johnny's Aston is from Atkinson's personal car collection.
- Casting Gag: Once again, another Bond girl was cast in a Johnny English film. In Reborn, it was Rosamund Pike, and now it's Olga Kurylenko (Camille Montes from Quantum of Solace).
- No Stunt Double: Rowan Atkinson did his own stunt driving for this film.
- Real-Life Relative: In the Canadian French dub, Bough is voiced by Alain Zouvi. The latter's son, Frédéric Millaire-Zouvi, is the voice of P.
- Sequel Gap: This film was released 7 years after the previous movie.
- Throw It In!: In the commentary, director David Kerr revealed that when Volta used all the ammo in his specialised gun towards a knight armor-clad Johnny (Rowan Atkinson), followed by Volta throwing the gun as a projectile, the latter improvised the following quip: "Don't worry, Bough! He's only got six bullets in that thing! And of course, the thing itself."
