  • Approval of God: Halfbrick Studios voiced their approval of an Unreal Engine 4 fan remake of their game with a comment saying "This... Is... Awesome...".
  • Banned Episode: Hygiene Event was released on May 2020. While it was playable on Android, Apple did not allow the event to released on iOS versions due to its COVID-19 Pandemic-theming. Two previous events, "Zappy Bird" and "Cut & Run", had to be ran as a substitute, while Hygiene Event would not receive any reruns (nor would the items added alongside it be obtainable again) until 2023, when it came out on both iOS and Android with no issues.
  • Kids' Meal Toy: Received token sets at Arby's.
  • Milestone Celebration:
    • To celebrate Fruit Ninja's 5th anniversary, many Halfbrick games have received Fruit Ninja-themed content, including Jetpack Joyride. In this case, Cut & Run event was added.
    • To celebrate 30th anniversary of Back to the Future franchise, a brand new event was added. It also included Marty, Doc and Biff's outfits, Hoverboard and Delorean Time Machine as new vehicles, 2015 Hill Valley from Part II as a background and 1985 guitar jetpack.
    • 8th anniversary of the game featured reruns of Zappy Bird, Cut & Run, and Back to the Future events.
    • Few months after the tenth anniversary of the game, an Anniversary event was released, alongside a special video celebrating the milestone.
    • At the same time, Dan The Man held a Jetpack Joyride event, which added 4 costumes, 2 icons and 3 emotes for Multiplayer mode. In turn, when Dan The Man game celebrated its 5th anniversary, Jetpack Joyride added Dan as a playable character.
  • Rereleased for Free: The game was originally $1. For Christmas 2011 the game was made free to download. This change was meant to be temporary, but made the game so successful, it was never changed back.
  • Urban Legend of Zelda: The game was believed to have an unavoidable wall of zappers at 30 000 meters that could only be bypassed with S.A.M. vehicle. This was mainly because the leaderboards used to be glitched and showed many top players having 30,285 meters as their best. There was no real proof of such obstacle's existence, but the rumor was widespread enough for sites like Jetpack Joyride Wiki and even This Very Wiki to treat it as a truth for a long time. After many updates it became far easier to reach thrice as much distance and surpass the presumed 30K limit: Power-ups were added, including the shield that could let you take up to five hits and the number of Quick Revives players can use per run was increased from one (two if you were lucky to win one from the Final Spin) to nine.
  • What Could Have Been: Shares with the rest of the series here.
  • Working Title: Machine Gun Jetpack, named so after the default jetpack. Lead designer Luke Muscat claims that the name change was the very last tweak they did before the release and the reason for that was the game presenting itself on the app list as "Machine Gun...", which made it more ominous than intended and not very indicative as to what the game is about. Machine Fun Jetpack was a known alternate Halfbrick Studios almost went with, but was quickly rejected in favor of the current name.
