• Recursive Adaptation: Jessica Jones started in the MAX imprint, as a character for a mature public. Alcoholic, swearing and filled with angst. Then she was toned down, to fit the tone of the larger Marvel Universe and join the cast of the Avengers book. The TV series is an adaption of the original version of the character. The comic was relaunched in 2016, and returned to the tone of the original series.
