• What Could Have Been: Chris Claremont quit Marvel alongside the other Image founders, and had planned to help found Image while publishing a book with Whilce Portacio called Huntsman. However, when Portacio decided to create Wetworks by himself, Claremont instead left to work at DC instead. Given the pedigree as a writer Claremont has over the others (who are mainly artists), this may have given the early Image stories a better sense of quality and continuity than what they're infamous for.
