- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Unfortunately, IGN has cleaned up the site considerably, removing those aspects that once made it a community, such as the reader mailbag. These aspects of the site can now be found only on the Internet Archive.
- Urban Legend of Zelda: The bane of Matt and Peer's existence. Probably accounted for at least half of the editors' mailbag in the months following OoT's release. They were not happy with other video game publications for encouraging rumors.
- Another pet peeve of theirs was readers constantly asking if Luigi was a playable character in Super Mario 64. Eventually, they became so fed up that they would respond by saying, "we know the code to play as Luigi, but we're not telling you."
- They also loved teasing the existence of a Vanna White Nude Code in the N64 version of Wheel of Fortune.
- And let's not even get started on the "Will Squaresoft Return To Nintendo?" questions/rumors...
