- Actor Allusion: During Big Time Rush's performance in "How to Rock an Election", James points to Grace and winks at her. In real life, James Maslow and Halston Sage, who plays Grace, dated.
- Dueling Shows: With Victorious. On the same network no less.
- Screwed by the Network: Nickelodeon really screwed this show over, with only one season of 26 episodes. It didn't help that Alloy Entertainment—the book packaging firm from which the series was licensed—was acquired by Warner Bros. halfway through the show's run. When the show returned from summer hiatus, Nick put it on Saturdays at 9:30 PM (the last available slot before Nick@Nite started) in order to minimize the show's new status as free advertising for Cartoon Network who were still producing live-action series at the time.
- Word of God: David Israel is very interactive with the fanbase on twitter. He has made it clear Grace and Nelson are meant to be together.
