- Banned in China: This is one of the anime series that got the banhammer in Russia after the government's Media Watchdog Roskomnadzor decided to ban Crunchyroll after they discovered they didn't rate their series properly.
- Completely Different Title: For the English release and the anime adaptation, the series is called "How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord". The original Japanese title is "Isekai Maou To Shoukan Shoujo Dorei Majutsu; The King of Darkness Another World Story: Slave Magic"note . This is because the inclusion of "Slave" in its title may put off a lot of potential readers.
