- Dolled-Up Installment: An odd example. The film was initially written as a standalone sequel to the firstHouse, and during principal photography was changed to be its own film, and then was retrofitted back into a sequel during post-production due the distributor not knowing how to promote the film.
- Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: The shooting draft was written in only two weeks, and was rewritten constantly during filming. Much of the comedic dialogue was improvised by the actors.
