Trivia / Gravity Falls S2 E10 "Northwest Mansion Mystery"

• What Could Have Been: The original concept, as seen in a Freeze-Frame Bonus in the bonus features on the Complete Series box set, was for Pacifica to ask both twins to help hunt a ghost at the mansion, while trying to “seduce” Dipper, but Dipper would yell at her for her way of being, which would inadvertently make her gain a crush on him, but still end with her having Aesop Amnesia. This episode idea was scrapped, but eventually worked back into the episode we know now.
• Word of God:
  • Pacifica's parents see her more like a prize showdog, and the bell is their version of counting to ten before punishing her.
  • Bill had tried to contact the natives of Gravity Falls before to build a portal for him. They didn't do it, but they made tapestries of it. Which is where the tapestry in the mansion comes from.
• Working Title: The episode was first announced as "Northwest Mansion Noir".
