• Creator Couple:
  • Daevid Allen and wife Gilli Smyth co-founded the band. In later years, Smyth would front the Spin-Off Mother Gong with contributions from Allen.
  • Guitarist Steve Hillage's partner Miquette Giraudy joined the band as a vocalist around about 1974 and was featured on two albums, You (from 1974) and Shamal (from 1976)^note this album's track-by-track credits list Giraudy on only one of its songs, "Bambooji". Both left the band after the Shamal album's release. (Giraudy would go on to perform on some of Hillage's solo albums, and in 1989, the two of them began performing electronic dance music under the moniker System 7.)
• Completely Different Title: The initial U.S. release of the Gazeuse! album had its title changed to Expresso. That's why the next studio album after that one was titled Expresso II; the latter album's title was used worldwide, potentially leading to confusion as to why it includes a "II"^note particularly because discography listings on the web often don't show the preceding album's alternate title.
