Trivia / Golden Films

Go To

  • Direct-to-Video: All their animated films, with the exception of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie.
  • Dueling Dubs: Most of the Enchated Tales line movies has at least two Polish dubs.
  • Edited for Syndication: In 1995 Golden Films (in order to avoid paying royalties to Beatrix Potter's estate and to not exclude the movie from the Enchanted Tales line-up so quickly) made edited version of their Peter Rabbit movie called The New Adventures of Reggie Rabbit, in which Peter has been renamed as Reggie and removes other references indicating the movie was adapted from Beatrix Potter's novel. The main reason for its existence was the then-recently implemented EU's 1993 Copyright Duration Directive which retroactively extended the copyright length to 70 years after the author's death.note

  • He Also Did: Charles Martinet worked as a writer and voice actor for Golden Films before he became famous as the voice of Mario. Apparently if you bring this up to him he gets a bit embarrassed.
