- Development Hell: As said in the main article, it was announced in the Cannas Film Festival 2006 that the manga would receive a live action adaptation sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Culture. This was a big deal, because author Buchi Terasawa had refused several times to allow a film to be made and only accepted after being convinced by director Kaizo Hayashi. However, nothing has been revealed about it, the last production update being in 2018.
- No Export for You: The manga was partially published in English by Viz Media with color pages and mirrored art for left-to-right reading. It abruptly ends on chapter 3 out of 7.
