• Release Date Change: The Early Access release was pushed forward by one day, from September 6th 2022 to September 5th. This was solely to avoid being overshadowed by a major update announcement for Cyberpunk 2077, according to New Blood CEO Dave Oshry.
• What Could Have Been:
  • This forum post from 2014 shows a very early prototype of the game that the developer describes as "a dark, 19th century Animal Crossing." There's not much information about this early idea for the game, but it had procedural generation and a completely diegetic inventory.
  • The bat barbers were originally planned to be rats, rather than bats. They chose bats instead since they were planned to drop down from ceilings and rafters, and bats hang upside-down.
