- No Export for You: Subverted. Before its closure, Bandai Entertainment's US branch had intended to bring Giant Gorg alongside Blue Comet SPT Layzner, only for the latter to only come with blue-tinted cels, dissuading them. Thankfully, Discotek Media would later license the series by itself.
- Also played straight, as, unlike many other sci-fi anime of the era, this show does not appear to have been exported to or dubbed for Europe or Latin America.
- The Other Darrin:
- In the Sunrise Eiyuuden series, and later Super Robot Wars, Manon is voiced by Tomohiro Tsuboi instead of Mitsuru Gunji.
- Skipper went from the late Masao Imanishi in the TV series, to the late Atsushi Ii in the Sunrise Eiyuuden series, to Yukitoshi Hori in Super Robot Wars BX.
- BX would also replace the late Kōji Totani with Yasuhiko Kawazu as the voice of Bem.
- Referenced by...: This show appeared in the Sunrise Eiyuuden series, and would later make its Super Robot Wars debut in BX.
