- Cash-Cow Franchise: A very popular book series in its native Italy that also sells well worldwide, with plenty of Spinoff series, a Comic-Book Adaptation, an Animated Adaptation, two video games based off the Kingdom of Fantasy, and two theater shows! Not to mention, an upcoming animated film!
- Completely Different Title: The Chinese translations of the books retitle the series as Mouse Reporter/Journalist.
- Cross-Dressing Voices: Benjamin in the Animated Adaptation.
- Denial of Digital Distribution: Some series, such as the Heromice and Classic Tales series (with the exception of A Christmas Carol) and the anniversary editions, don't have digital releases, at least in English.
- Late Export for You: The books tend to be published in English later than their original Italian publications. For instance, the first book, Lost Treasure of the Emerald Eye, was released in English seven years after the original release. The main series has since caught up to the point there's a two-year gap, besides the entries that had their order in the English series reorganized. The Classic Tales series has it especially rough; the adaptation of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea took a whopping eleven years to be published in English.
- No Export for You:
- There are several books that have not been published in English, among them being the multiple Human-Focused Spin-Off series of the Kingdom of Fantasy series.
- As of 2014, the animated series is still MIA in the United States (except for certain cable systems that carry it on demand). Fortunately, it's easy to find the region-free Canadian DVDs online. But those are NTSC (480 pixels of vertical resolution) and interlaced (although 30>>24 detelecine filter in most video players can fix that).
- And as of 2017, it's now in hi-def on Amazon Prime.
- One of the seasons was on Netflix, but it was removed.
