• Creator Breakdown: Shooting the scene was so intense and emotional that most of the cast and crew were in tears shooting it. Richard Madden had to quickly leave and get on a plane home after but admits it hit him on the flight and he sobbed the whole way home. Michelle Fairley turned her phone off and didn't reply to emails or calls for a whole week. Oona Chaplin had to be told to stop crying on set as she was supposed to be playing a corpse.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: Greatjon Umber is absent from the wedding because Clive Mantle wasn't able to reappear in Seasons 2 or 3.
• What Could Have Been: George RR Martin was hoping to cameo as a casualty at the wedding, but his schedule prevented him.
• Word of Saint Paul: Richard Madden says of Talisa's Death by Adaptation that it was to make sure no future son of Robb's would ever come back to avenge him.
  Madden: There's no possibility that Talisa's in hiding, and she's going to have a baby, and one day that baby will take over as King in the North. I think there's something tragic about it all being cut short instantly.
