- The Other Darrin: Freddy Fazbear never exactly had any voice officially in a game, but the unused Freddy Fazbear's Theme in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted had Kellen Goff voice Freddy's lines of the song. Freddy finally — and officially — speaks for the first time in Special Delivery, with Tim Simmons (who originally auditioned for him in Ultimate Custom Night) taking over the part.
- Promoted Fanboy: Markiplier appears in the Launch Trailer, narrating what is basically the opening cutscene of the game to lure people into playing.
- Role Reprise: Heather Masters returns as Circus Baby once more, Christopher McCullough returns as Foxy after having done the character in Ultimate Custom Night and the Cap'n Foxy's Pirate Adventure level in The Curse of Dreadbear DLC of Help Wantednote . An interesting case is made for P. J. Heywood voicing Springtrap after having done William Afton's cameo when alive in Sister Location and the Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator version of Springtrap previously. Amber Lee Connors returns as Toy Chica after doing the character in Five Nights at Freddy's World and Ultimate Custom Night when the character is permanently added into the game in an update, while events allow for Darren Roebuck, Jena Rundus, and Keyondra Shannae to return as Toy Freddy, Mangle, and Jack-O-Chica, all roles done in Ultimate Custom Night. Kellen Goff and Becky Shrimpton also reprise Funtime Freddy and Bon-Bon when they are added in.
