• Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: The film was improvised by Otto Messmer in a very short period of time, so that producer Pat Sullivan could give Paramount Screen Magazine a new cartoon to fill in for another series that was running late. Everything in the film, except for the inking, was done by Otto Messmer himself.
