Trivia for the films:

  • Approval of God: Stan Lee said that Michael Chiklis' portrayal of the Thing was his favourite performance in any Marvel film. It was however not the case with Victor.
  • California Doubling: Most of New York is filmed at Vancouver, with most shots that have Jessica Alba at New York instead of Vancouver.
  • Creator Backlash:
    • Jessica Alba had some problems with the films' scripts and naturally hated doing the scenes were Sue strips off while invisible. Nevertheless, she is happy that she met her future husband while filming.
    • Tim Story reflected on the films in the late 2010s and noticed that things would have been different if he made the films at a later decade.
    • Averted with Michael Chiklis, who loved playing as the Thing in the films and the first video game. He later voiced the Thing in an episode of Robot Chicken and is looking forward to playing the Thing again for the Marvel Cinematic Universe if he is given the chance.
    • Averted with Julian McMahon, who had a fun time as Dr. Doom and also got to voice him in an episode of Robot Chicken.
  • Creator's Favorite: The Thing is one of Michael Chiklis' favorite roles.
  • Deleted Scene: See here.
  • Disowned Adaptation: While Stan Lee loved Michael Chiklis' performance as the Thing, he was not a fan of how the films portrayed Dr. Doom, as he felt Victor was changed too much from his depiction in the comics.
  • DVD Bonus Content: The films had bonus features including deleted scenes and featurettes relating to the film's production.
  • DVD Commentary:
  • Enforced Method Acting: Since Jessica Alba didn't like stripping off, her reaction as Sue is quite natural.
  • Fake American: Welsh Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards.
  • Fake Nationality: Australian Julian McMahon as Dr. Doom, a Romani from the fictional country of Latveria, though American accented.
  • Meme Acknowledgement: Julian McMahon, Michael Chiklis, Doug Jones and Tim Story approved of the growing memes from the films.
