  • Catchphrase: Besides the canon ones from most of the usual suspects, draconichero also has one he starts placing at the end of chapters starting at #78
draconichero at the end of many chapters: As always, from all of me, to all of you, let your hearts stay human and your wrath draconic.
  • Descended Creator: draconichero supplants himself into the series as Alex Goldrose, a subdued, though not always, reporter for Sorcerer Weekly that works alongside Jason. He describes the character in the author's notes at the beginning of Goldrose's first appearance as something akin to a DEATH BATTLE! researcher. Goldrose also seems to hold the writer's love for dragons.
  • Schedule Slip: Zig-zagged and sometimes even inverted. The series sometimes can go as long as two months without an update and sometimes as briefly as chapters coming out a day apart.
  • Trolling Creator: Draconichero was very evasive to say the least about Erza getting pregnant due to her and Lelouch taking each other's virginity in chapter 170. If Mordred's timeline is to be believed, Erza did get pregnant.
    • During the Guild War arc, many started to wonder just how bouts like Erza Vs Cornelia, among others, could be made to happen without feeling forced as hell. However, Draconichero swore to make good on his promise. The end of chapter 231 inflicts a case of appropriately named Mass Hysteria. 232 shows exactly the effects of it with truly brutal battles between combatants that are supposed to be on the same side. This led to Draconichero quipping to the reader base "you guys asked for this".
    • You can practically see Draconichero's trollish grin as 235 got posted as it ends with Erza supposedly dying and NO AUTHOR'S NOTES. 236 then follows-up on this dickish move by having no opening author's notes and having one of the most tear jerking fake-out death scenes in the story.
  • What Could Have Been: Supposedly instead of Juvia fighting Meredy on the first day of the Grand Magic Games, Lucy was set up to lose to Rolo as a parallel to Lucy Vs Flare.
    • The original script for chapter 203 called for Mirajane becoming Zero's fake lover as opposed to Sindel.
    • Nessa was originally supposed to win against Minerva in the Guild War arc, but this was changed for what the author has described as a "long term plan" and to cut Minerva a break since she hasn't won a single fight since her Heel Realization.
