Trivia / Even Dwarfs Started Small

• On-Set Injury: Happened twice to the same actor during filming. During one scene, he got run over by a van, but got back up right away; in a later scene, his clothes caught on fire, resulting in Werner Herzog scrambling to put him out. Herzog promised the cast that if they made it through the rest of the shoot without any more injuries he would jump into a cactus patch and let them film him doing so, and when the film wrapped up without further incident he kept his word.
