• Box Office Bomb: Budget, $22 million. Box office, $10,055,355 (North America), $25,155,355 (worldwide). Even though the film's wide US theatrical run only lasted two weeks before COVID-19 shut down most cinemas, the film still debuted at an underwhelming $5 million. The film only made $9 million in the UK, where it opened a month sooner.
• Early-Bird Release: Less than a month after the film's theatrical release, Universal announced it would be available on video on demand, along with The Hunt and The Invisible Man. The reason for this is the COVID-19 Pandemic shutting down many theaters across the world.
• Those Two Actors: Anya Taylor-Joy and Mia Goth previously starred in Marrowbone together.
• What Could Have Been: Juho Kuosmanen was offered the opportunity to direct, only he declined in favor of directing Hytti nro 6 instead.
• Write What You Know: Emma gets a nosebleed during an especially romantic moment with George Knightly. While this does not happen in the book, director Autumn De Wilde included it because she’s prone to nosebleeds herself.
