- Approval of God: Their official Twitter account praised Todd in the Shadows' One Hit Wonderland video on "Unbelievable"
. - Chart Displacement: They avert this overall, with their signature song "Unbelievable" from the album Schubert Dip reaching #3 in their native UK and topping the Hot 100 in the US. However, their only other hit in the US was "Lies", which to their fanbase isn't as well known as other tracks such as "Children" or "I Believe" from the same album. But even that pales in comparison to the UK, where they had a second #3 hit. That hit? An almost completely forgotten 1995 cover of "I'm a Believer", which guest featured comedy duo Vic and Bob, of all people, on backing vocals. Today, that cover is perhaps only remembered for inventing the "clap clap clap Oi!" refrain that would become much better known after Smash Mouth replicated it on their cover of the same song.
- Two-Hit Wonder: They scored a chart-topping hit in 1990 with "Unbelievable", then a #18 the next year with "Lies". Soon afterwards, the grunge invasion struck the public consciousness and killed all other forms of alternative rock in the mainstream for a couple years, undermining further success. They are more commonly regarded as a one-hit wonder than a two-hit wonder.
