• Children Voicing Children: Rio Suzuki was fourteen when she voiced the titular child.
• Follow the Leader: The 2019 anime aired alongside the sixth season of GeGeGe no Kitarō, though this seems to be a mere coincidence as Dororo came about because of its 50-year anniversary while Kitaro has had several different anime over the years.
• Role Reprise: Hiroki Suzuki portrayed Hyakkimaru in the stage play adaptation by Daisuke Nishida after voicing him in the 2019 anime.
• Spoiled by the Merchandise: The magazine previews for the second cour spoiled Mutsu's gender by referring to her and Hyogo as "姉弟" (shitei), the "sibling" variation of older sister-younger brother.
