• Distanced from Current Events: As noted below, this film was postponed and then later withheld indefinitely in Korea due to rising historical anti-Japanese sentiments (for some reasons) and major anti-Japanese protests there. It was instead put on Korean streaming services, and later received a television premiere in Champ TV a year later.
• Dueling Dubs: This film have three Chinese dubs. One is the Cantonese dub made in Hong Kong. Doraemon's Taiwanese voice actor, Chen Meizhen, has voiced the main character in both the Chinese and Taiwanese dubs of the film.
• Release Date Change: As noted above, in Korea, this film was postponed from August of 2019 to October of the same year, and it was withheld indefinitely.
