- Role-Ending Misdemeanor: Robert Irvine was suspended from this series after it was discovered that he had padded his resume rather outrageously (including claiming to have worked on Charles and Diana's wedding cake and having been a White House chef), and he was replaced by Iron Chef Michael Symon. However, it was eventually subverted, since a combination of his popularity with viewers and his eating humble pie brought him back to the show after seven months out in the cold.
- Romance on the Set: Irvine met Gail Kim while shooting an episode for WWE. The two say that viewers can see the moment they fell in love with each other.
