Trivia / Diamond Adventure! The Dark Mystery

• Accidentally-Correct Writing: Very late into both versions of the story has Mega Man X (along with Zero, Axl, and Harpuia) teaming up with Iron-Man, the latter of whom Zero has met in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The original version of the story was made in 2015. One year later, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was made and had a trailer of X and Iron-Man fighting each other alongside Ryu and Captain Marvel respectively. Furthermore, Diancie getting corrupted by a virus ended up happening to Thor (Who also appears in this story) and the Asgardians in the same game.
• In Memoriam: Diamond Adventure is dedicated to mother and daughter actresses Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher, who died a day apart in December 2016.
• Throw It In!: Many of Sora's negative experiences in The Grid were based on MysZorua's own bad experiences throughout the 2010s, including cases of discrimination, attempted robberies, being assaulted for good deeds, or even being shoved aside while boarding a bus as a deadline expired, forcing her to pay extra.
• What Could Have Been:
  • This tale was originally written as the final chapter of the "Project: Alternate!Gentaro" arc simply known as "Gentaro's Epilogue", but was retooled into a Spiritual Sequel that connects it to the "Madoka arc" to avoid an Arc Fatigue and set a path to the next arc.
  • Sora and Ruby were supposed to return to Space Paranoids with Diancie. Instead, the setting for Act Two is The Grid, and Sora wears the appropriate armor (it is never stated if Ruby also wears different armor).
    • Speaking of costume change, Sora was not supposed to be changed into his Halloween Town outfit until Act Three. This leads to the "witch hunt" that happens over the second half of Act One.
  • Originally, Team Rocket was supposed to blast off like normal at the end of Act One. This was changed to Bewear saving them given its positive reception among the fanbase. Additionally, one of the authors originally planned to have Snake Eyes tranquilize Team Rocket.
