- Genius Bonus: The word dennou (電脳), which is the archaic Japanese word for computernote is used in the title, when pasokon (パソコン) had become mainstream by the time the series came out.
- Stillborn Franchise: A follow-up season, tentatively titled Cyberman was meant to premiere a year after. With a prototype figure of the titular character made that can be seen online. The toy sales for Cybercop (said toy releases were badly timed for the holiday rush) sadly didn't justify a second season. It's been rumored that the main jist of the Cyberman concept was eventually taken by Takara and turned into Gridman.
- What Could Have Been: The show was supposed to be much more Super Sentai-like, but the idea was dropped after the unaired pilot, or "episode 0", at which point the series became an interesting hybrid of a Sentai series and a Metal Heroes series.
- Tomoko was meant to have a Bit suit behind the scenes as well, but budget constraints axed the idea. Not only does it get a nod in the show, but she did get the Venus Unit in the tie in manga.
- The anime series Armored Police Metal Jack was originally planned as a live action sequel, but production complications caused the idea to be scrapped entirely. The final product has no connections whatsoever to Cybercop as a result.
