- Foreign Dub as Basis: The Latin American Spanish dub of Dash Kappei based on the Italian one. Since the the protagonist's Italian name is Gigi, that name is also kept in the Spanish version. However the show has a Completely Different Title of "Chico Terremoto".
- He Also Did: The anime's director, Masayuki Hayashi (Rintaro's brother), directed the gentle Kodomomuke series The Littl' Bits (aka Belfy and Lillibit) two years earlier. Despite having the same director and being from the same animation studio, the two shows couldn't be more different.
- Very much averted with Akane's Japanese voice actress, Mizuho Tsushima. Despite this being a major role, it also appears to be the only major role Tsushima ever had, as the rest of her resume consists of minor roles in shows like Princess Sarah and Flying House. Nevertheless, she is still active today.
- The Other Darrin: In Serika's first appearance in episode 33, she's voiced by Kiyomi Kurakawa, however from episode 34 onwards she's voiced by Eiko Yamada.
- Megu Naito was originally voiced by Mami Koyama in episode 14, however when she shows up again in episode 28, she's voiced by Keiko Han.
