  • Executive Meddling: The reason he was paired up with Speedy Gonzales in Looney Tunes ' Audience-Alienating Era is because of high demand for both Speedy and Daffy cartoons, and the studio would rather kill two birds with one stone and put the two together rather than continue their shorts separately due to budget constraints.
    • According to some versions of the executive reasoning, demographics research indicated that Daffy and Speedy had become the most popular characters of the studio by the mid-1960s. So the executives figured that they should keep only these two characters, and stop using every one else in the recurring cast of the series.
  • Long Runner: Of all the Looney Tunes characters, Daffy Duck lasted the longest, having appeared from 1937 to 1968. Even Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig were off by a few years.
  • Milestone Celebration: The short "Fiesta Fiasco" which ends with Speedy throwing a surprise birthday party for Daffy was made to mark 30 years since Daffy's first appearance.
  • The Other Darrin: Since the death of Mel Blanc, other actors have gotten the chance to lend their voice to the darn-fool duck, including Jeff Bergman, Greg Burson, Dee Bradley Baker, Jeff Bennett, Eric Bauza, and most notably, Joe Alaskey.
