• Adaptation First: While none of the games received an official international release until 2021, the anime was streamed on Crunchyroll and released by Sentai Filmworks for home video in America earlier.
• Bonus Episode: The home video release of the anime includes a thirteenth episode titled "Data_xx_Transitory". The episode adapts all the bad endings from the original game, and is quite a bit more graphic than the TV anime.
• Cash-Cow Franchise: To Nitro+CHiRAL, as it has produced the most merchandise and has raked in the highest number of sales both in Japan and overseas compared to the developer's other works.
• Demand Overload: JAST's server crashed on the release date of the localized version of the game.
• Fan Translation:
  • The first game had a complete fanmade English patch prior to its localization by JAST BLUE.
  • The fandisc, re:connect, remains unlicensed, but a fanmade English patch for it also exists.
• Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition: The animate edition and the Nitroplus Online Store edition of the PS Vita Port, which has exclusive bonuses. Both editions include an illustrated box, a material book and soundtrack CD. The animate edition includes CD and Vita case, a A4/A5 clear folder and a countdown CD, while the Nitroplus edition has a postcard and a plush of Aoba.
• No Export for You: The 2.5D stage play adaptation is only available on the Japanese DMM storefront. However, the usage of VPN is an easy workaround to this.
• Playing Their Own Twin: Shogo Yamazaki plays both Ren and Sei in the stage play, which makes sense, considering that Ren is given Sei's body in his good ending.
• Pop-Star Composer: The original games' Electronic Music soundtrack are composed by GOATBED, a Japanese Visual Kei Electronica duo.
• Porn Names: For the first game, the fan disc, and all the drama CDs released in between, the entire cast was credited with their pseudonyms. But like in Togainu no Chi's case, they stopped after the Animated Adaptation was released, with any future material crediting the voice actors by their actual names.
• Production Posse: Nitro+CHiRAL collaborators Kanako Itou and VERTUEUX return as part of the group of vocal artists (besides GOATBED and Seiji Kimura) for the ending themes.
• Promoted Fanboy:
  • Years before her employment, Honyalala did a fanart◊ for Lamento - beyond the void. She's also a fan of the game's composer GOATBED, and was the one who suggested them to the developers to compose the game's soundtrack.
  • Clara's voice actress (Aya Kuyama) is in fact a Nitro+CHiRAL fangirl. Clara is her only role to date.
• Role Reprise: All of the cast from the visual novel return to lend their voices in the Animated Adaptation.
• Sleeper Hit:
  • This series quickly gained popularity in the Western shores after the Fan Translation for the first game was released and in a year after it, DRAMAtical Murder became one of the biggest things in the Boys' Love fanbase and on Tumblr.
  • The PS Vita port helped gain the game popularity with the Nitroplus Online Store edition of the game selling out in less than a few hours after pre-orders began.
• What Could Have Been: According to the writers, Clear and Trip's bad endings in re:connect were supposed to be far more graphic, but some of the content was cut because it was apparently "too dangerous/extreme".
• Word of God: Fuchii Kabura (the game's scenario writer) stated in the Nitro+CHiRAL 10th Anniversary Book that Virus and Trip are half-British.
