Trivia / Cousin Skeeter

Go To

  • The Danza: Bobby is played by Robert Ri'chard
  • Kids' Meal Toy: In 1998, Burger King released a toy of Cousin Skeeter as part of their NickelOZone promotion, which also included toys based on Action League NOW!, Hey Arnold!, The Journey of Allen Strange, and The Wild Thornberrys. Skeeter's toy was a full-body puppet of him with pockets in the back of his legs where fingers could be placed to make him walk.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes:
    • 15 episodes are partially missing due to this show never getting any kind of home entertainment or streaming release. It currently only survives through TV recordings.
    • Rescued with the TV movie New Kids on the Planet which exists online.
  • Pop-Culture Urban Legends: An ongoing internet rumor circulated around Skeeter's appearance on Figure It Out where he got slimed. It's believed by many that the show was cancelled because they only had one Skeeter puppet and the slime would not come out. However, it should be noted that Skeeter's appearance on Figure It Out was right when his show started, and if this was true it likely wouldn't have had two more seasons.
  • Real Song Theme Tune: The theme song is a rewritten version of 702's "Steelo" which was notably written by Missy Elliott. 702 even makes a cameo appearance in the opening credits.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: The theme song is likely why the show has yet to see a home media release.
