• Life Imitates Art: Monika Schnarre portrays a reporter/propagandist here. In Real Life, she went on to study television broadcast journalism at UCLA.
• Manual Misprint: The manual flipped the unit pictures of the Nod rocket infantry and cyborgs. Ditto for the Tiberium Waste Facility and Nod Cluster Missile Silo.
• Prop Recycling: In cutscenes, GDI soldiers are variously armed with both the M590 assault rifle from Space: Above and Beyond and the M41A pulse rifle from Aliens.
• Troubled Production: In a retrospective by Rade Stojsavljevic from 2000, it's revealed that the game suffered from feature creep and bloating costs, resulting in certain elements coming off half-finished at launch.
• What Could Have Been: Westwood planned the Hunter/Seeker Droid option to support selection of target types, but ultimately the droid was made to attack at random. There were also plans for customizable dropship loadouts, among other gameplay mechanics left on the draft board.
