• Fake Nationality:
  • Dimitri Diatchenko, Yuriy's actor, is actually an American, although he has paternal Ukrainian ancestry.
  • Some of the extras are played by non-Ukrainians, including the guard who stops the group from entering Pripyat (played by Serbian Miloš Timotijević) and the doctor who talks with Amanda at the end (Russian Pasha D. Lychnikoff).
