General trivia

One of the studios that produced the film was Daiei, creator of the Gamera series. During the 80's the studio was able to come back from their bankruptcy earning some money distributing American slasher films in Japan, and as a result decided to help produce one to take advantage of the genre's popularity going on in the country at the time.
