• Acclaimed Flop: The game didn't do super well when it was first released but still has fans to this day who were upset of its lack of reception. It at least did well enough to justify an Updated Re Release for eighth generation systems with Duke Nukem as a pre-order bonus.
• Actor Allusion: Grayson Hunt, who's voiced by Steve Blum, looks a lot like Wolverine.
• Development Gag: The Man-Toast skillshot is named after an in-joke at the People Can Fly offices, based on one of the developer's initial understanding of Mentos.
• Preview Piggybacking: The limited Epic Edition version on the Xbox 360 comes with a voucher for free access to the Gears of War 3 beta.
• What Could Have Been: Alternate lines with less profanity were recorded and are in the game, but have to be activated via a menu. The developers originally considered making it an up-front choice, which would've resulted in a drastically different reception^note The re-release is upfront with this option, telling sensitive players to choose the less profane option when they start for the first time. According to an email sent to PC Gamer, they regret the decision not to.
