    • Since most of the non-Malaysian fandom is curious about how the series continues from the comics and not all of them understand Bahasa Malaysia, the creators decided to release English versions of BoBoiBoy Galaxy Season 2 for digital release on Google Play Books, Comixology and Webtoon.
    • Wind/Cyclone rarely wins fights and often loses or forces BoBoiBoy to switch forms. The debut of BoBoiBoy Tempest shows that this element is still powerful and something to be taken seriously. • Development Gag: The original idea was for BoBoiBoy's Signature Headgear to be a Hat of Power with 3 eyes, but the idea was rejected as impractical and also too scary. The 3 eyed cap would make a return in the BoBoiBoy Galaxy episode "Copy and Paste" as uncanny Evil Knockoff clones of him would bear caps with 3 bugged-out eyes.

In the English version of Instagram's mini-story,BoBoiBoy Wind attempts to be popular by trying to mimic Lightning's style with the caption "gotta frown to complete the Edgy look". Seems the creator is completely aware of what makes Lightning/Thunderstorm insanely popular and memorable, mainly because of his look.
  • Milestone Celebration: To commemorate the series' 10th anniversary since its debut on 13th March 2011, an extended version of the very first episode was released (albeit a day late) on 14th March 2021. A newly animated prologue and epilogue are added with the unchanged pilot in between them. Their footage solidifies the man from the post-credits scene of BoBoiBoy Movie 2 to be BoBoiBoy's father as well as a galactic superhero, despite there being no indication of his father's true occupation early in the series.

  • What Could Have Been: The 2009 reveal trailer and materials associated with it show a number of differences from the final product:
    • BoBoiBoy was named "BoBoi" and his dinosaur hat had three eyes. In addition, he shot lightning out of his hands rather than throwing it as in the final show.
    • Yaya's hijab likewise had a pair of eyes.
    • Adu Du was originally supposed to be a hero alongside BoBoiBoy and Yaya, and he had a dark blue vest on top of his usual getup.
    • A character named BoBot who didn't make it into the final product is shown. He's a red-colored robot with a screen for a head, likely meant to be some kind of robot sidekick to BoBoiBoy similar to Ochobot.
    • Tok Aba's hot cocoa shop was a proper building, rather than a stand.
