Trivia / Batman: Fortunate Son

Go To

  • In Memoriam: The book was made in dedication to former comic writer, editor, and artist Archie Goodwin, who originally suggested the idea of a "rock-and-roll Batman story". He's unofficially credited in the foreword as a major co-creator of the comic, having only read the first draft of its script before he passed away from cancer in 1998, a year before it was finished and released.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Due to Gerard Jones' arrest and jailing for child pornography possession, don't expect the book to be reprinted anytime soon, if at all. That being said, the book is quite cheap, even 20+ years later.
  • Referenced by...: This book was covered during the first year of Atop the Fourth Wall and would be referenced many other times over the series' decade-plus run, helping paint his take on Batman as a bit of a loon with irrational hatreds towards various things, especially rock 'n roll.
