Trivia / Assassin's Creed

Go To

  • Divorced Installment: As the director of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was attached to the sequel but unsure on just continuing in the same series, he started a game that was supposed to be a spinoff\reboot, Prince of Persia: Assassin, which would have focused on playing as a royal assassin to the prince who had to rescue him. It was decided to instead turn the game into a new IP, Assassin's Creed, when the developers felt the game strayed rather far from some of Prince of Persia's key elements like not playing as the titular prince, though an actual Prince of Persia reboot did happen in 2008.
  • Fake Nationality: The Iranian-American Philip Shabaz voices the Syrian Arab Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad with his natural accent.
  • Orphaned Reference: The Crossbow was cut from the game, and wouldn’t be reimplemented until Brotherhood. Nonetheless, a crossbow is still featured prominently in the game’s intro cutscene.
