Trivia / Adrift (2018)

• Completely Different Title: Released as "41 days of hope" in Poland and significantly playing up the romantic angle of the movie.
• Dyeing for Your Art: Shailene Woodley subsisted on 350 calories/day (the recommended daily allowance for the average person is 1500) in order to look like someone suffering such an ordeal. She also dyed her brown hair blonde.
• Troubled Production: As 90% of the movie was filmed on the sea, shoots began at 4 AM and would last twelve hours on average. Everyone was throwing up overboard due to sea sickness.
• What Could Have Been: Miles Teller was attached for a while in the role of Richard - in the hopes of reuniting him with Shailene Woodley after The Spectacular Now and the Divergent franchise. He dropped out and was replaced with Sam Claflin.
